Enrico Fermi
Enrico Fermi was born in Rome, Italy on September 29, 1901. Early on, he had a knack for mathematics and physics. In 1922, he earned his doctorate degree in physics at the University of Pisa. He was named Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Rome in 1927 and soon after won the Nobel Peace Prize for the discovery of the antiproton . Then, he migrated to the United States. He worked well with neutrons and was elected the Professor of Physics at Columbia University in New York. He continued to perform experiments and do research on the fission chain reaction. He played an important part in solving problems that were related to The Manhattan Project. Fermi became an American citizen in 1944 and became a professor at the Nuclear Studies of the University of Chicago in 1946. He wrote several books and documents related to science and the nuclear chain reaction. He contributed greatly to the field of science during his time. He died November 28,1954.
Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was born in Germany on March 14,1879. In 1896, he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School to study mathematics and physics. He became an American citizen in 1940. He always seemed to know about any issues within the physics world. He also had the determination to solve them. He investigated the thermal properties of light and also figured out the photon theory of light. He also helped develop the quantum theory of a monatomic gas. Over his lifetime, he gained degrees in a variety of fields in science, wrote papers, documents, and other works, and change the world of science. After he retired as a scientist/physicist, he traveled around the world lecturing. He gained many awards from different sources. Also after he retired, music was very important to him. He married in 1903 and had two children. On April 18, 1935, he died in New Jersey.
